Food and supplies are needed to help feed the numerous animals and their pet owners who have been directly affected by the flood waters along the Missouri River.

The immediate need is supplies (i.e. food and medical). The ARC Coalition members are receiving hundreds of calls for help. Many pet owners need the basics until they can get back on their feet. By providing a temporary source of food and basic medical needs we can keep pets who have homes in their homes.

You can help by donating food as an individual at one of our drop off sites or coordinate an animal relief supply drive in your area. Here are some tips to get help get you started:

• Buy One, Give One! The next time you are shopping for your own pet's food, pick up a little extra and give one for those animals in need. Make sure to mark your contribution "MRFARC" (Missouri River Flooding Animal Relief Coalition.) Check out one of our donation sites or contact us and we'll help you find one!

• Host Your Own Supply Drive! A supply drive is a great group project for schools, social groups, businesses and community events. From lemonade stands, birthday parties or just a friendly designated day with your co-workers, a supply drive is a great way to gather needed supplies. • Medical Supplies . Flea, Tick, Deworming and Vaccinations are also needed. A great way to help with medical supplies is to coordinate a supply drive with your veterinarian. For example, have your vet offer the customers gift certificates or place a donation jar in their clinic. Set a date for pick up and then take the gift certfiicates and/or cash and purchase the supplies from your vet. It's a great way to say thank you and save lives!
