In January 2004, Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary & Rescue took the first step in becoming a no-kill animal welfare organization, a place where no animal dies to make room for another. Like many new generation animal organizations, RVAS realized that 50 years of using lethal injection as a management tool isn't decreasing the overpopulation problem, increasing overpopulation awareness or solving any behavior issues between pets and their owners, but simply, just killing innocent lives. RVAS recognizes that companion animal overpopulation is a man-made problem and we believe that it's time to step up and be the voice of compassion for these innocent victims. |

- Spay & Neuter Programs, including low cost and senior citizen assistance
- Animal Laws & Legislation
- Education & Awareness
