| Dogs from all over the country competed at the Des Moines Dog Show on September 4, 5 and 6th at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Varied Industries building.
Petco (Clive), Natural Balance and RVAS partnered up to have one LARGE booth supplying show goers with food, fun and a little frivolity, too! Pet owners came from as far away as Texas to the south and Canada to the north to participate in this year's show. On Saturday, over 1200 entries filled the arenas with breeds from everywhere, from popular to rare (view photos below).
Karen Rech, General Manager of Petco in Clive, had several sheltie's competing, some who won (details to follow). Bravo, Karen! Show Goers could Spin the Wheel for a prize and a coupon, the days' biggest hit!
Natural Balance Representatives, Jim & Cheryl Holland offered up food samples from sample bags of dry foods, to large bags of treats, and the biggest hit of all, the food rolls. All come in a variety of flavors, including Turkey, Beef, Lamb and Duck & Potato (yummy!) and are available at Petco Stores!
RVAS shared with show goers their expertise with their rehabilitation program offering up Cesar Millan products, from his Mastering Leadership DVD's, to the ilusion collar, as well as, his books and Sessions With Cesar Online Coaching Course. Not only was Cesar's Way a hit with show goers, pet owners signed up for RVAS' rehabilitation program, hoping to achieve some "balance" in their lives at home!
RVAS Volunteers were asked to come as a fan of either the Iowa Haweyes or the ISU Cyclones, to rally up support for the upcoming game on September 12, 2009. The Who Loves Dogs More booth was decorated in school colors with take home prizes for every fan who contributed to the contest. Donors were celebrated with a loud "ringing" of the school colors cow bell, and of course, applause and cheers!
The contest will run until September 13 (after the game) so if you would like to show your support on who loves ANIMALS more...click here! |
