PET PORTRAITS EXTENDED: Santa Photos have been extended for one more weekend due to the popular demand of Santa Joe at the Petco CLIVE STORE only. Professional photographer Daniel E. Hodges will be capturing your pet (or human's) magical moments with Santa on Saturday, December 19, from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm!

HOMES FOR OUR COMPANIONS: This year celebrate with us, as we partner with IAMS for their Home for the Holidays campaign. The goal: To get every companion into a home for the holidays. We are encourging fosters to come forward and help our companions and of course, we are asking for your help to spread the word on our adorable adoptables. | In these tough economic times, pet owners are finding themselves struggling to make ends meet. Hard choices are being made by pet owners one of them being to surrender their companion for lack of food and/or medical care. RVAS has seen a 20% increase of pet owners seeking help in rehoming their companion but you can help us keep these pets in their homes by joining us this holiday season as we collect much needed supplies, such as food, toys and funding for medical care.
Here's how it works:
Pet Owners are screened and their situations assessed per our rehome program guidelines. Once it is determined that the pets needs are genuine and the pet owner qualifies for our program, RVAS helps arrange medical care, food supplies and connects the pet owner with online resources to help them manage their situation until they are able to maintain quality care. This program helps keep pets with their loved ones and in their homes instead of finding themselves behind cage doors in shelters and rescues.
You can help us...help them. Here's how:
Simply purchase one or more of the items from our WISH LIST and place it in the gift wrapped box at the front of each store (Jordan Creek & Buffalo Road Petco stores only). Your gift will be distributed to families in need, as well as, our own companions waiting for new homes.
Or purchase a Petco gift certificate and give to the cashier at one of our partnering Petco Stores. Make sure you tell them it's for RVAS. You can have a gift card mailed directly to us at: RVAS, PO Box 38, Boone, IA 50036. (Gift cards needed are, Petco, Petsmart, Target, Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee and Iowa Pet Foods and Seascapes, for our special needs companions.)
Or you can give the gift of life by generously donating directly to one of our many wonderful programs that helps our companions.
